# The Sphere of Malkuth We are in space and see the great archangel Sandalphon cradling the earth in his hands. He pronounces the Divine Name: Adonai ha Aretz, Lord of the World. We fee stuck, frozen by the power of inertia. Sandalphon says the name again. The Ishim appear around us and dance in a clockwise circle. We discern their motion and feel the rhythm filling our bodies. We dance with the Ishim and rise up to the next sphere on the wings of the Shekhina. # The Sphere of Yesod Sitting atop the moon we see the archangel Gabriel with arms outstretched radiating strength to the cosmos. Gabriel pronounces the Divine name: Shaddai El Chai, Almighty God of Life. We freeze in place, longing to stay here and rest in the strength. Gabriel pronounces the name again. The Cherubim gather behind us and call out the Divine name. The strength of life fills us and we realize our independence and we ascend. # The Sphere of Hod The Glory of God and the cosmos surrounds us. Before us is the base of the pillar of Severity. The Archangel Michael, the archangel of compassion stands in the heart of the Glory. Michael recites the Divine name: Elohim Tzabaoth, The God of Hosts. We feel like a fraud in the presence of this Glory. Michael pronounces the name again. Bene Elohim, the children of God appear around us and count us as one of their number. We speak the truth, “I am a child of God, Reality, and the Cosmos.” We are liberated and ascend. # The Sphere of Netzach We arise into the realm of endurance and watch a great cosmic rose open up at the base of the pillar of Mercy. The Archangel Haniel, the archangel of grace, appears before us. Haniel recites the Divine name: HaShem Tzabaith, the Existence of Hosts. Desire arises within us to own beauty and possess it as ours and no one else’s. Haniel pronounces the name again. The Elohim, the gods appear around us, no two alike, and all radiating their gifts into the cosmos. We speak the enduring words: “Beauty and grace are not mine to possess. They are not a gift given to me, but one given through me for the blessing of all.” Unselfishly, we release our blessings as light into the cosmos and ascend. # The Sphere of Tiphareth We arise into a field of absolute beauty, where everything is in harmony. We realize we are in the center of the pillar of equilibrium. The Archangel Raphael, the archangel of Healing appears before us radiating the beauty that restores the world. Raphael says the Divine name: HaShem Allah Va Daath, The Existence of made manifest in the mind. Pride wells up within us that we have ascended so high. We ignore the invisible hands, and many lessons that helped us to arise and for a moment believe that we achieved this ascent from our own merit. Raphael pronounces the name again. Crowned angels appear around us wearing crowns called the Malachim. The cast off their crown and ascend into he cosmos. Another catches their crown and rise to take their place. Our false pride shatters within us like glass an falls away. We renew our dedication to the Great Work of liberating those in bondage, and bringing healing and restoration to the world. We ascend. # The Sphere of Geburah We arise and enter the heart of the pillar of Severity where we see a five petaled rose, a sword, a scourge, and a chain. The Archangel Khamael, the archangel of warmth, stands before us. Khamael says the Divine name: Elohim Gebor, the God of Strength. Our dedication to the Great Work turns our hearts cold. We wonder how we can get encourage more people to join the Word, and we are drawn to the sword, the scourge, and the chain to force others either onto the path or away from harms they cause. Khamael pronounces the name again. Burning coals light around as as we realize we are standing on the Heavenly altar. The flames raise up from those coals and we see the Seraphim as they sing, “Holy, Holy, Holy.” Into the cosmos. Our hearts are warmed and the cruelty and destructive urges within us melts away. Courage fills us with energy and we ascend. # The Sphere of Chesed We arise and enter the heart of the pillar of mercy, where we see a sphere so smooth. The Archangel Tzadkiel, the archangel of righteousness who is also known as Hasdiel, God is my compassion, stands before us. Tzadkiel recites the Divine name: El, god. Our hearts quake and we see ourselves as hypocrites. Our desire to control others lashes our from our hearts like serpents to enforce our will on ourselves and others. Tzadkiel pronounces the name again. Uncountable stars burst to life around us. The swirl around us shining with pure brilliance and the compassion floods over us. These are the Chasmalim, the brilliant ones. We dedicate ourselves to the path and work of compassion, seeing it as the guide to all our actions. The serpents of tyranny flee from our heart and we have compassion for our shortcomings and the falling short of others. We ascend. # The Sphere of Binah We arise and stand before the throne, our mother, from whose understanding all true power flows. The Archangel Tzaphkiel, the knowledge of God, sits reading the words of creation. Tzaphkiel recites the Divine Name: HaShem Elohim, the existence of reality. Avarice arises within us. We want what the archangel has. Tzaphiel pronounces the name again. Spirits of strength and valor rise up around us, the Erelim, the Valiant Ones, and the stand firm in their own gifts desiring nothing more than what they have. We release our avarice and embrace the power of silence. Realize that strength and wisdom arise from within and we only have to open ourself to its flow that nothing can be only only borrowed and protected. We ascend. # The Sphere of Chockmah We arise and stand in the presence of our God, seeing the Face we were born to seek in this life. The archangel Raziel, the archangel of mystery stands before us. Raziel recites the Divine Name: HaShem. We stand in devotion to our wished for diety. Raziel pronounces the name again. Our eyes are opened and we see the wheels of the cosmos turning. Each energy and power performing its own task, together creating, sustaining, liberating, and restoring the worlds. We let go of our devotion and we ascend. # The Sphere of Kether We arise. What do you see beyond the images you hold so dear? We embrace the silence that is the only way to explain what lay beyond. The archangel Metatron, whose name means next to the throne, appears before us as big as the cosmos itself. Metatron recites the Divine Name. Eheieh, I am. For a moment, we feel connected to the whole of the cosmos and the one from which it flows. Metatron pronounces the name again. The Chaioth ha Qodesh, the Holy Living Creatures appear around us in a form beyond words that is life itself. We open our eyes and realize we have not moved. All of this has always been with us and will always be with us and we carry this fullness of life and can return to it at any moment.
